The site put an add on SEEK, looking for extras etc. No experience wanted, the pay looked great and just an all round good job. I did my application and that day got a phone call from my 'agent'. She sounded odd, and as though she were reading from a script. Continuously asking had I read the terms and conditions and mentioned some jobs that pay 800 or so 10% would go to their company, so she was obviously trying to make it sound legit and at the same time sound like a large sum of money for a small amount of work. Which I'm sure would get anyone interested, especially job seekers desperate of work. She then mentioned I had to pay around $200 to get every thing going and for the photo shoot etc. After that I searched them and found numerous complaints, because I was extremely edgy about just throwing $200 to some company I had never heard of.
I didn't pay any money at all and messaged them, 'Appreciate the opportunity but I'm going to have to decline as I searched you ass holes on the internet to find numerous complaints about scamming.'
They replied straight away with, 'You are such a sweetie', not trying to argue they aren't scammers just accepting they had been caught out. I probably wouldn't have been much of a loss as I'm sure plenty of people have gone straight to paying them. I just hope my comment helps.
