I used a coupon to get an AC tune up service and ended up getting more done (my ducts and coils cleaned, 3 pounds freon, etc.) That visit came to $802 which I was very reluctant to pay. Almost 1 month later my 10-year old AC stopped working - needed freon again. Decided to get a new HVAC system. Old AC kept losing freon until new AC installed. 5 days after new AC - guess what - stopped working. Also, when installed, they scratched my new air handler really bad in 2 places. Not a happy customer!!! They first said they could not come out today and then I said I would call my bank and dispute all charges and they said they will try to come out tonight. Unbelievable!!! Seriously, when you purchase a brand new unit - it should work. I have the 7-year service plan and a 10-year warranty on the Rheem but I am wondering if all that is a scam also.
