I've rented for years and never have I been so treated so badly. I've always been a good tentant and treated my landlords with respect. I rented the apts by the Harrison County Pool and the landlords were great people. I lived for a year and they were bought out by Pinnacle Properties (Indian Creek Apts) A month after they took over I got a notice saying either sign the lease or pay $800 a month! I tried to explain I was in the process of buying a house and could not afford that much rent for a month. I was told either sign the lease, pay the $800, or I would get evicted. I called Management and left the messages pleading them to call me and that I would like to discuss the situation. Never at any point was I rude or angry. But I never got a call back. So I was forced to sign the lease and back out of buying a house. I still had to pay an additional $300 and they raised my rent $60 more a month. I was stuck, they knew it, and took advantage of me. After a few months I figured out they were entering my apartment as they please. I was NOT okay with this! The previous owners gave a 24hr notice but this company did not say anything at all. I took my concerns to management again and they said they have every right and could care less what I thought about the situation. Of course I was in a lease and there was nothing I could do. They soon after sent out letters to everyone apologizing for everything that happened. It was definitely damage control because they made so many people angry. Once they get you in a lease they will treat you as poorly as they choose to. I am so upset with this place and wish we had the previous owners back because those people were good landlords. I urge everyone considering to rent an Indian Creek Apt to stay away. There's a reason so many people are leaving.
