My mother booked a flight for South America two months in advance. CheapoAir incorrectly booked her flight for a different return date than she originally requested. When this was brought to their attention, they refused to accept responsibility for their mistake, and then charged her an additional fee of 300USD to correct the flight itinerary.

Several calls were made to CheapoAir in hopes they would correct their mistake, but to no avail-- they just evaded responsibility by delays and transferring my elderly mother to six different employees, altogether.

I will book her flights from now one, and NOT using CheapoAir.

  • Ernest, your mom chose an "alternate date" option that was displayed for a cheaper fare. We offer this in case people are flexible in their travel dates, and want a cheaper fare. If she would of reviewed the "2" confirmations we sent immediately after booking and called to inform us, she could of received a full refund and start over. But calling us months later to inform us of an incorrect reservation there is the airline change fee of $200.00 plus the current fare for that travel date. I am very sorry that this was over looked and has caused an added expense, but we are not responsible for what customer's book online, and not notify us within a reasonable time frame to fix the problem.
