They hit a Seniors community. I will probably make a police report tomorrow.
I had the same two guys, one named Douglas Carter who has red shoulder length hair 5'10", who said they just graduated from high school and that they are going around trying to win a trip to Italy by gaining points through their book sales. The other, young man, late 20's Richie Siem, dark hair and dark eyes, about 5'8". They claimed that the books I purchase will go to cancer patients who are children at the local hospital and underprivileged children.I really can't believe I fell for this, I was ill and getting ready for surgery. They were charming and I was missing my boys so I listened and Unlike myself I too fell for their scam I can't believe I did but they seemed so trustworthy. Now I feel like a fool. I wanted to do something good for the children and their paperwork looks legit. And like the other complaints the two boys kept pushing for cash because he said they would get more points if it was cash and those points would get them a trip to Italy. I didn't have cash so they told me another tenant took them to the ATM but I was in a house dress and didn't want to get out, And they actually talked me into driving them to an ATM then since I was ill he offered to go in and get the money with my debit card.Yes I know I was just stupid and let him. He brought me the receipt but this morning when I looked into my account the original 159.00 turned into 600.00 withdrawn, he withdrew 200.00 three different times. The only reason I let Richie, the other boy, use my card was because he said I can cancel by midnight and get my money back except for one book. These are bad boys and put on a good boy act. I'm very disappointed in myself and them and I'm broke. Don't answer your door to salesmen these days, so many thieves out there.I emailed the company on the receipt and got no response. The young men said someone will be calling me that night and no one did. They are in God's hands now.
