Bought a stupid cookbook for $3.95 sponsored by Old House Journal magazine (who has been notified) and I have been being scammed for $9.95 per month from Gourmet Cooking rewards and Gourmet Cooking Online for $9.95 each since September. My accountant just notified me of this and when i called Gourmet Cooking Online, they said they would credit me back one month and put my account on hold! Cancel it now, I told them repeatedly. I never signed up for this or agreed to any of this. The FTC will be notified, as well. A supervisor is supposed to call me back by 5pm. If not resolved,will escalate further. They need to stop scamming people.
Update: 02/28/2014
I spoke with a rep at GC, she only wanted to cr. me for 1 month. I then spoke with a supervr - told her that I would seek further action if not refunded in full. She refunded all charges in full. I wrote to the sponsoring magazine, as well.
