Pretty much the same as the others who have complained. This is a scam! Promises to rent out extra timeshare weeks at fairly good profit. Money upfront to reserve weeks and then money on the backside with promise of payout from the rental. Sometimes my timeshare is more hassel than its worth. I would really like to know how they got the information in the first place that I had a timeshare and knew I had weeks available to rent? Seems to me RCI should address how this information is becoming available to these scam artists? Maybe the first question when someone cold calls is where did you get this information? I went along with it though a would very much like to stop this from happening to anyone else. What process is there to take for catching these people?
I have talked today to someone at Business Travel Network named Kevin Moore who said he was President, that Nelson Sandel, the guy I gave money too on Friday was in trouble for stealing it from the company. I would need to pay again and the check I was to receive back would include the first amount I paid on Friday. The phone number I have is 866-249-2262, they want me to get another $500 dollar in a green dot money pac and call him tomorrow with the code. He would than send the check for the rental. I wish there was some way I could catch them in this scam. Live and learn the hard way.
