I just got a call where they tried to scare me with legal action, told me it was a cash advance payday loan that had never been paid from 2005 and offered to settle it for less if I made a payment today. It felt weird that they would do it over the phone and not by mail.I almost gave them my information but stopped at the last minute.. although credit collectors do call I hope that I did the right thing with this one.
