I had to replaced my hard drive. After loading windows I could not activate it. I called Microsoft (I thought) but some how got these guys?
I had just run a full system scan so Norton 360 said everything was OK. I was told they could help with activation. I reluctantly let them take over my computer But they assured me that they were representing Microsoft. As soon as they did they brought up a screen that showed that I had hundreds of virus on my machine. They pulled up my Norton360 and every thing was in red showing that I was infected.I was told that for $199 they would fix it & I would be protected on my network for life? I did not want to pay that but every thing seemed messed up. After payment they downloaded a program that removed the virus??? I think? I called Microsoft & was told these guys were not authorized to represent them. I am trying to get a refund but good luck with that! these guys are a total scam!!!!
