I was looking for authentic UGG Boots to give as presents to my nieces. I opened a site that had them on sale and ordered them. The site was quite professional with hundreds of options. I did not know that "true" UGG Boots seldom go on sale, nor did I know that these UGG scams happen quite frequently over the holidays. I'd never purchased UGG Boots before.

When I pushed the complete order button after giving my credit card information to the TRUSTOPAY site, all that came up on the screen was "Payment Success." The rest of the screen was blank. I waited for a confirmation code or some kind of follow-up....nothing. I thought something would arrive in my email. I received no notice at all from the company. After two days I did receive an order number from TRUSTOPAY. I still had nothing from the company. I began to feel that something wasn't right, so I searched online and saw that during the holidays MANY people fall for scams while looking for Uggs.

I then wrote to the company and requested that they cancel my order. They have no phone number to call, only email. I received two emails that were near illegible, saying that they were already prepared to ship and that I'd soon have a tracking number. It was as though they didn't understand that I wanted my order cancelled. I sent another email asking that my order be cancelled. I received an email back that if I paid another 10% of my order (approx. $70) for their labor and the money they'd already paid for shipping that they'd refund my money. I wrote back that I had no intention on sending any more money to them. Their website says they ship in 2-3 business days. It is now 4 days after my order and I still have no tracking number, and my payment has cleared my bank.

I now have a dispute put in with my bank, however they stated that I would have to receive the boots, send them back and keep the receipt that I'd returned them and THEN they could refund my money.

My question at this point...what if I never receive any boots?

So I phoned the bank and they said if they didn't arrive in 30 days they would investigate. At least they've put a hold on adding any interest or late fees on this amount while I wait this out.

Has anyone even received boots from this website?

So, now I'm out nearly $700 and playing the waiting game...what a mess. I was truly duped. Hard lesson to learn. The site is quite authentic, but these are NOT genuine UGGS as the site states...and I have no idea if I'll even receive any boots. Stay away!
