I replied to an offer for a free trial of equinox serum and rvtl face cream agreeing to pay the postage only. The products arrived without any paperwork. On 1st November I looked at my bank account and found that without my permission this company had taken on 30.10.13 £95 and on 01.11.13 they took a further £89.

On 18.10.13 they took £0.99 and this was the only amount I had agreed to.

I have contacted this company by email and they replied in capital letters THERE WILL BE NO REIMBURSENENTS.

I will appreciate any help in pursuing these fraudulent people and stopping them stealing from others.

This is exactly what happened to me. I phoned and emailed several times and have been refunded £50 which I don't consider satisfactory so am pursuing it. CAB and Trading Standards told me they may have broken the law and Trading Standards are investigating. If you contact them it may add to the weight of evidence and I would encourage everyone else to do the same. However it seems that by agreeing to the Terms and Conditions we unknowingly gave them permission to take this money!! In my case the link to this didn't work and I have been unable to find the page on which I sent for the free trial to test it again. But the whole thing is certainly misleading and there are laws against this kind of practice. So contact Trading Standards, girls and let's try to stop these people scamming anyone else and get our money back.
