He contacted me on Christian Mingle on 9/12 and wanted to talk on Yahoo chat which we did every night for 2-3 hours. On 10/15 I told him my son had done a background check on him because we were getting pretty serious and couldn't find his name. He became very mad and we didn't talk for 2 weeks or so. Today he was on Yahoo chat trying to make up to me which I accepted. Tonight he asked me for $1500 to pay for his hotel room so his "son could eat" and they could leave after getting back from Africa to buy gold. When I refused he got abusive and told me all the things that were wrong with me. He said it was over because I lacked trust. He supposedly was a gold investor and worked at home in Austin. His wife "had been killed" in Peru 6 years ago. No money lost, just a broken heart.

Victor Lockharts and I have worked things out. It was all a misunderstanding on my part. I wish to drop all charges against him.

- Mary, RUN fast. He is doing the same thing to a friend of mine. I have become very concerned so in trying to do a background check on him - the only thing i can find is your scam report. He has gotten over 30,000 from my friend and is also talking about marring her after only a couple of months of meeting her on Christian Mingle. - Be careful of this guy. He will steal your heart and your money. He had me convinced for a while that he was a good guy, but he is far from innocent. He has no conscience. He will quote the Bible and "pray" but he is really "preying" on you. He is very smooth and convincing.

- He will send you flowers, call you (very heavy accent), tell you he loves you, wants to marry you, come visit, etc. You will feel like he is your soul mate and best friend, like you have "known each other forever." You will tell him everything. He is very nice until you cross him, and then he is very mean and abusive. He preys on older women who are needy and lonely. He knows just what to say to gain your trust. When you refuse him money, he will get very abusive. I am still getting over him emotionally but know that he doesn't exist as I knew him and is probably in another country. He talked about Africa a lot. Just this week he emailed that he was going to sue me for these posts. He will try to turn you against your friends and family so beware. He is very evil.

- Victor Lockharts is a ghost. He finds women on Christian Mingle.com and begins romantic relationships, quickly asking women to marry him and begins to craft a "made for TV" romance. Hours upon hours of long phone calls, IM-ing and emails, saying all the right things that we all dream of hearing. He will send you romantic emails with a list of everything he hopes to do with you, he will send you roses, and even pray with you every day (makes you believe he is very religious to help you trust him more). He will find ways to explore your financial aspects without you even noticing because he shares first. His story: He supposedly was a gold investor and worked at home in Austin, traveling to Africa frequently to buy gold. His wife was killed several years ago while on a cruise and he is alone taking care of his son (peter). He will find tons of reasons why he needs your help with money and all along promising to pay you back as soon as he can get access to his money. He even has you send him money for an airfare so he can come see you... but it ends up being cancelled or somehow loss of the refunded. He wants to come visit you but his son gets into a car accident and is in the hospital. Then he needs to borrow money to pay for hotel, food and of course the hospital bill. There are several other excuses that all seem logical, but the lowest, darkest and mean spirited thing he does is to tell you that his son, peter, died due to internal bleeding and that the doctors never saw it coming. He will be distraught, and talk about not wanting to live without his son. Then of course, he will need more help to get his son's body back to the states. Any time you question him - he denies that he is a scam-er and try's to put you against your family or friends that are warning you about scams. I have confirmed that he was doing this same role play and scam with the same exact story line with multiple women at the same time.

In calling the US Embassy, they also do not know him and have not been requested to help him in any way get back to the states. The Hospitals in Ghana have no record of him or Peter (i have called every one of them). He has help with this scam. A couple of names to watch are: David Narh Ocansey and Koomson Lord KoJO. I highly suspect that he is actually one of these guys. Also, the list of email accounts are: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]. Phone numbers are: 011-233-262-09-5395, 512-233-2658, 512-879-1672, 210-306-7783. just a few - but all prepaid. various IP addresses include: 65.55.111.81, MX1.hotmail.com 65.55.92.184, MX4.hotmail.com 65.54.188.72, IP 65.55.111.91.
Victor (or whoever you are), shame on you! I hope that you believe in Karma. Because - i am going to use every resource and agency to track and find you, until you return the money you stole. Feel free to have your attorney call me directly if you wish, I would be glad to have a chat with him (provided that i can verify his credentials). -

- Scammers will want you to go to your email and then Yahoo chat and then delete your profile on the dating site. STAY ON THE SITE and don't give out your email address. Follow the site rules. They have poor grammar skills with little knowledge of punctuation. They usually are a widower with a child and a sob story of how their wife was killed. Be careful when you notice these things. They can romance you for weeks before asking for money. Don't give out any financial information.
