I was having an e-mail problem, so I tried to contact my provider Concast via Google. When putting in the information of what was wrong, it took me to Itechline , which I then assumed was part of Comcast. After talking to Itechline , I agreed to have them fix my computer via remote set up and they were to install a new virus protection, as they said I had a virus and my current protection was not working. After this was done, they had the e-mail system up and I checked a couple of things before closing it and shutting down the computer for the night. The next morning when I went to boot it up, I got nothing but a blank black screen. I contacted them immediately (took all day to get them) and after talking to three different people, the last person insisted that I had hit a cable and caused the problem. All the cables are behind a very large desk with a top on it and there is no way I could do such a thing. He insisted that I move everything and check, which I explained that I physically (heart problems) not do. This man that I spoke to was very rude, degrading and insulting. He put me in tears and I finally hung up on him. I have retried to contact this company via e-mail to dispute their charge ($149.97) for the supposed service but all the e-mail comes back undeliverable. I also tried to contact the virus company the same way with the same results. I did finally send them a letter. Also I had a Thomas Kinkaid screen saver on my computer, that I do not have since they worked on my computer. I have had this on for years and I do not know if I will be able to replace it. I have disupted their charges with my credit card company and changed all my passwords so that they will not have any further access to my computer. I have since had someone remove the hard drive and I took it to a local repair shop and now it is working very well ($127.09) and they also installed another virus protection. And the initial screen that this company showed me to tell me that I had a virus, the local company showed me the same screen on their computer. This is just a ploy to get you accept their service. Itechline claims that since I could use the computer the evening after they were done working on it, that they are completely free of any responsilility for the problem that I had when trying to boot it up the next morning
