Purchased an allegedly genuine Frye bag for my daughter online, using a Visa card.
About three weeks later, still no package, despite claims that UPS would deliver in days. Called Visa and asked to cancel transaction after sending unanswered emails to the seller.
Visa credited me the amount and foreign transaction fee. Billing statement indicated that the bank to which the payment went was in China. Seller's website is still up (see above), but no working links to customer service, live chat or help. Site also appears to have hijacked information from the real Frye site.
Learned a lot from this experience. Always do my homework before making an online purchase, especially if the price is really too good to be true. And always use a credit card with a purchase guarantee.
