Okay...I recently purchased sale DVD's from the Murphy Canyon location. Upon returning home to add the selections to my collection, I discovered that my brother(whom I live with) had purchased DVD's that day as well. Among his purchases was DVD's with the same titles! It was decided that we would gather the videos that had not yet been opened and return them to the College Ave. location which is closer to our home.(We actually spend an average of $50.00-$60.00 per week at this location.)We prefer the Murphy Canyon location for their superior customer service.Anyhow, when we attempted to return the DVD's we included an incorrect movie that was similar in title, but not on that receipt. So I was permitted to return only three of the four.Vowing to return home and retrieving the correct one.(An American werewolf in London.)Since this disk was only $4.00, it was not high priority on our huge list of things to do.Our errands are usually in the area and so we kept the product staged for our next trip back. When we did make it in and explained to the customer service desk our earlier misfortune, it was deemed that the disk we had was not an item that WalMart sold. (The DVD was unopened in the original packaging yet did not have any of the usual WalMart packaging.)So, we were denied a cash return.Strange? We were told that it was illegal for them to accept this DVD because ours had no price sticker that would identify that it came from WalMart. Bullshit! I went to the department that sold DVD and saw literally 100's of DVD that had no "identifiable" stickers. All of which were priced at bargain prices!I return to the customer service desk and demanded that the store manager was summoned. I waited roughly 15 minutes and was then told it could take a while because the manager was in a meeting. I forgot to mention that I had made the initial attempt to return this item which I had receipt for and was passed off to 3 different asst. managers all of which told me the same crap, that "it was company policy" or "illegal". When I realized these people here at the College location do not have a clue as to the meaning of customer service and that the store manager was obviously too busy to refund a $4.00 item, I left. Not before mentioning that we are weekly customers and that we also possessed a WalMart credit account that was never going to shop WalMart ever again! At that point, I was handed a piece of paper with corporate customer service phone number. The names of the completely unprofessional associates involved were George,Kelly, and a store manager named Ryan Brandenberg(who never actually emerged from that meeting)These individuals cost WalMart a loyal customers business. I am also going to inlude this miserable experience online, where I have over 700 friends on Facebook.
