Complaint 242088 Details

I was bidding on an areial lift on ebays sit. An item that was listed through www.bidadoo.com . I ended my bid as it was going for more than I wanted to spend. I received a second chance notice that the bid was offered to me due to problems with the wining bid not being able to pay for it. I was sent information on how to pay for it and was sugested that I pay with a wire transfer. I questioned this as I have always paid by using paypal. I clicked on ebays live chat line which there icon was on the same page as the notice that I received saying congradulation you have won the item.
I mentioned that I was concerend about this way of paying and was told that they (eBay) is acting as a third party and holds the money until I receive the item and approve it. I was told to go ahead as this was safe to do. I found out about a week later that ebay was scamed, my money was with drawned by scamer and I am out of the money. I filed a complant with spoof.ebay.com and haven't got anyware with it. They finaly contactacted me and thanked me for sending the information so they could investicated this matter and stop it. I belive with the information I discovered and sent to both eBay and Bidadoo, I stoped this from going any farther for both companies. I hold eBay totally responsable and beleive the should reinburse me for damages. I do believe that every thing I received was from eBay. I beleive if someone can commite fraude and invade ebay in every way and not catch it and the custimer gets ripped off, they should be responsable
