This man contacted me on Plenty of Fish.com (POF.com) Initially he contacted me via email and then texted me from a Florida area code cell number. Whenever we talked on the phone he used a number that was connected to a Magic Jack and the connection was terrible. He said he got it from someone while on a presentation in Phoenix and it was such a good deal he disconnected his landline. He said he moved from Florida after his fiance ended their 2.5 year engagement as he would not convert to Judaism for her disapproving parents. He said he lived in Leona Valley near Palmdale, owns a 3-bedroom house and enjoys solitude as people have betrayed him.

He says he's originally from Vienna, both parents are deceased with no surviving family and got his construction schooling from Cambridge University in England. He explains that he has no friends because they were all jealous of his achievement in the construction field. This sets up the scam when later he tells you he has no one to turn to for funds.

Just before we were going to meet in person his presentation was approved and he got "the job" in South Africa around Johannesburg. He had to leave within 48 hours so we could not meet. He was already claiming to be in love with me after the first night we were talking (if it's too good to be true, it probably is!)

He contacted me with an international number for the region a day or two later. He said the job would take no more than 2 weeks, 3 at the max. He spent the next 2 weeks getting me to basically fall in love with him by sending affectionate emails, sending me pictures (he says he's 40 but looks like he's in his 20's or early 30's) Per him his birthday is April 22, 1973.

I googled him and found the report from Jane on Scambook dated 15 April 2013. He actually contacted me on POF on April 15th, but the request for money came on May 1st.

When I confronted him with the Scambook report from Jane he claimed it was probably one of his jealous friends trying to get back at him or a woman on POF who was jealous that he told he had found someone and was in love. There his story got weird because he said he called Scambook but they said the issue could not be resolved until he was in the US. He also speculated that his email had been hacked and said this is why he doesn't use social media or smart phones.

On May 1 he sent me an alarming text that rain had damaged some building materials and he didn't have enough funds to pay the laborers to get the job done. He stood to lose the 300K he had invested if he could only get $4390 to pay the laborers and that he could walk away empty handed without it as he was in a contract to complete the job and gets paid after completion only. He even offered to scan the check from the investors for me to see the eventual payout. Prior to that I gave suggestions of ways he could get money. Every solution I proposed was met with how that wouldn't work. His entire savings was in invested in the project, had no friends to help, credit maxed out, international banks would not give a foreigner money, house was behind several payments so no equity, etc. I refused to help him. He then went out of communication for a day or two, at which point I told him I was onto his scam.

He then contacted me again via email and spent another week being a total victim and sending me emails that he regretted asking me for help, but he could not return to the US until he got financial help.

Look for such trademarks in his email as always signing near the end with "muuuuuah" "Daniel Frey jnr" "Miss and Love you so much"
and broken English in his messages.

This guy is an amazing actor.
