I contacted them today at 3:15. They answered their phone apple technical support. I spoke with a man named Nixon, and proceeded to explain to him the problem with my track-pad on my laptop. I kept asking if I could just make an appointment to take into an apple store to have it looked at. He placed me on hold and told me that he spoke to a technical adviser who said without question it was a software issue. I told him that it didn't seem right and he told me it was okay because I would be protected under their software plan, even if it was a hardware issue, and that I would be able to take in get it repaired even if it wasn't. I even asked him, are with Apple, and like a champ he said yes we are apple technical support. I also asked Nixon about my apple care he said that he could see it in his files and that my package had expired, which is a total lie! I contacted apple I still have protection. Either way He then gave me a number for techzilla which I believe used the same lines. The techzilla tech was named Kimmy. She told me that in order to help me she would have to access my laptop. She then ran my virus check and asked me if I wanted to purchase their virus scanner for 54 dollars. I told her, that I had to look into. She then went into my system, and said that she was changing permissions on my disk. She also asked me if my battery was bulging out. I told her that would be odd because the casing wasn't open. Anyway the mouse started working a little bit better. So I was happy. I then came back and the whole thing was a 100% times worse. I tried to call them back and of course its the whole. "We don't have your credit card on file. We saw that you called but we don't have your information". Super shady company. I am calling my credit card to see if I can report them and hopefully my customer protection plan on my credit card can help. I am also contacting my lawyer to see if anything that can be done this. I am also going to take my lap top tomorrow to an apple store to see if they can scan it and make sure its clean and get the settings where they need to be. This company is awful, and they don't skip a beat. Truly a scam and yeah dangerous.
