Ordered a wig from Wigshow thinking it was a Canadian company at first and was mortified to receive a package from a company in China. When I e-mailed the company back to get an address so I could ship it back, they wouldn't give me one and "hung up" on me! I should have known something was wrong when some of the wig descriptions were written in broken English. I think this is going to be long fight to get any sort of refund from these people. Any suggestions on where to start would be greatly appreciated. Word of caution to all you out there, DO NOT get involved with this company. Stay far, far away.

  • I orderered my 1st wig from wigshow.ca (Canada) on Apr 18 for $87. The picture is a Rachel Welch wig but there's no genuine Brand Name "Rachel Welsh" on the wig on the webiste (appears to be a knock off), but using Brand Name pictures from legitimate websites. Not manufactured by Rachel Welsh Brand in Japan or Indonesia; China. Colour charts are different. Colour # 478GR has 6 different colours/shades, so who knows what's coming to me! Package will say "dress" on it; no packing slip to return. Pay non-refundable customs on it. Too late to stop shipment; PayPal paid them; I have 45 days for dispute. I received a confirmation email from wigshow.co.UK!. The return email is [email protected]. The Welcome email is from an outfit named "Magento". No name signature; says "Main Website Store". No phone #. PAYPAL's confirming email is paid to "huinqing yao" at [email protected]???(he changes contact info). I'll let you know when it arrives, the colour and fit, and I'll take it to a wig shop here in Toronto where I can have a pro compare the materials used to what they have, & a price comparison. I have just read today, every comment at http://wigshow.pissedconsumer.com/scam-wig-company-uk-from-china-20130105372903.html. Apparently Credit card companies and PayPal are giving refunds when you lodge a complaint. When you write to wigshaw.ca, they will try to offer you discounts to keep the wig. PayPal wants you to try to settle with the vendor first.

Well I must say I was lucky and had a good experience. The wig arrived in 2 weeks from China. It's either a genuine Rachel Welsh or a perfect copy. Fortunately the colour turned out to be a warm red with tri-colour stirations. The cap inside is real, comfortable; the hair is well made & sewn. It fits well and is a breeze to keep styled; I've worn it twice with compliments. The packing slip says "wig", but no packing slip to return if I needed to, and no phone #'s. The email I received re shipping made no mention of it's origin. Next time I'll order the colour samples first so as not to take so much of a chance; the price was really good, the big draw for me. I'd just add that only order if you're planning to keep the wig.

  • I ordered a wig from wig show and paid extra for wig stand etc .after many emails it arrived far too small ...the cut the colour horrible.
Took it to my hairdresser who confirmed it wasn't even human hair.
I got in touch with what I thought was a uk company to asked for address to send it back ...then found it was china.
I emailed them every day for about 2 weeks just asking for address to return it...all I got back were emails telling me it was on its way....im sure they just copied and pasted the same one over and over again.
So I got in touch with Pay Pal and ask them to help me.
Then the offers started 10/20/30 per cent refund and was told I could keep the wig .....I politely told them I wouldn't let me cat sleep on it let alone wear it.
Then the so called threats started how if I sent it back it could get lost and how it would be tested for stains also how much it cost them and they would lose.....
The offer went up to 60 per cent begging me to accept it but the strange thing is in all those emails they never once gave me their address to send the wig back.
Happy to say PayPal got my full refund for me.
Im just so lucky my daughter talked me out of using my credit card as I intended and used PayPal.
I wouldn't be the happy lady I am today seeing 100-34 euros back in my account.
Good Luck to anyone trying to get their money back......I will always use PayPal for any thing like this in future you never know who your dealing with.....ANYONE WANT TO BUY A WIG LOL.
