(copied from a complaint e-mail I just sent to [email protected])

I originally purchased a software plan for $49.99 because I was told that it would solve the issue with my iPod. It did not, so, happily I was able to get a refund for that plan. However, as I was getting a refund, I was talked into buying a more expensive plan for $99.99. I am not talked into things like this very often, however I was told at the time that with this new plan I would be able to buy third party iPod parts, install them myself, and send in the receipt for reimbursement. This was appealing to me because I do not live close to an Apple store. (I was also given 150 dining dollars, which, silly me, was of course not a $150 declining balance type coupon, as was described to me, but $150 I could use to buy individual coupons.) On calling back a few days later to figure out how to send in coupons for reimbursements, I was told that that was absolutely not part of the plan I had bought, nor of any plan, as far as I can tell.

I was sold a plan under false pretenses, and just now, after calling in to cancel this new plan, I was told that it is against your policy to refund the same person twice. I am writing to tell you that this policy is absolutely absurd. Are you such a pathetic, wanton whore of a company that you must cheat people out of their money just to stay afloat? I can only assume that you are, as no decent business that can turn an honest profit would have such a policy. Furthermore, you are cowardly, dishonest, and lack the forethought to tell people about your stupid policies ahead of time. It would behoove you to educate your workers better, and tell them to alert customers when they are about to buy something that A) does not exist, and B) is non-refundable. For what I presume is a small amount to you ($99.99), but to me is a quarter of my monthly rent, you have created an extremely unhappy customer who plans on copying this message on as many fora as possible.
