I received an "Important Notice" in the mail from Corporate Business Filings. Their notice looks official, complete with California Tax codifications and citations. For a fee of $225 they will file my Statement of Information for my newly formed entity on my behalf.

Note that anyone can do this themselves for free. Don't be suckered! Do a little research whenever you get a notice in the mail asking for money. These companies are required by law to state that they are providing a service and that the recipient is under no obligation to make any payments to them or accept their solicitation (see highlighted portion of notice). If we all make a conscience effort to be more informed and aware when releasing hard earned money we will avoid surprises down the road.
