I set up an account with them on 3/15/13 and they called me about an hour after I paid online.. Called to verify my number and to tell me how to set up account. I paid 29.00 for a month of service, 14.95 for one time activation fee and 14.95 for same day service. I received one phone call from my loved one in jail and the next day Securus had blocked the number from accepting calls. I have sent countless email after email and left many messages and have yet to receive a return call.. they have sent me emails back saying I paid for the service and nothing is wrong with the number they gave me and I should call Securus and ask them why they blocked it, well Securus called me the day after they blocked it and asked what the name of the phone company was that set up my number and then said that it was a fraudulant phone company so they would not unblock the number. I sent emails tellins JCS what they said and that I am requesting a full refund of my money,on 3/20 they sent a email saying that they have cancelled my account per my request. I check my card to see if I have my money back since they cancelled the account and nothing.. I am dumbfounded as to how this company can legally do this to consumers without any regard.. I am looking into contacting an attorney regarding this company and the shady business practices. I sure wish I would have googled this complaint page before I setup my accpunt with these scammers. I hope they get caught and face charges for frauding people and stealing money. I am so upset and I feel helpless as to what I should be doing to get my money back. HELP!!
