Called on the phone saying I owed money from a past payday advanced loan. Since I had looked into a loan a couple years ago I thought it could be a possibility even though I never received money. Said that it was through a different company I owed money and that this was the investigation department and asked for credit card number. If I paid it now I would only owe $300 and they would waive the initial interest but if I waited it would go up to $500. All kinds of red flags. I knew better but did not have time to deal with it, especially as it was not a large amount.
