We have paid for a Disney Cruise Vacation from December 29-January 5 but the agent cannot give us a confirmation number and refuses to take my calls. Elite Cruise Options is engaging in the practice of booking cruises through a Disney Employee and marketing the deal as a 'friends and family' discount. They required me to give them a personal check so
they could book the cruise under their own name to qualify for the special discount. In reality, this practice is against
Disney policy and travel agents are not allowed to sell Disney Cruises for less than the advertised price. In fact, there is
no such thing as a travel agent's friends and family discount with Disney Cruise Line. The travel agent has refused to give us a refund and does not have a confirmation number available to verify that our trip has actually been booked and paid in full. The travel agent has no proof to verify that our funds were ever sent to Disney Cruise Line. The agent refuses to answer my phone calls and said that I will not be able to verify my trip directly with Disney because they booked it under her company name as if I was one of their employees (which I am not). In addition to the claims above, Elite Cruise Options continues to operate as if it was an actively licensed business, which it is not. License #ST37978 expired at the end of October 2012.
