I read an ad for owner financing help. I spoke to the person running this and he said I would have to send at least 5000.00 to start the process. This is where the nightmare began. I wired the money and it took 2 weeks to speak to the finance manager. They stated they were shorthanded due to an employees family member committing suicide. Finally was set up with a realtor who showed me homes. I understood their offers would be low in order to save me money but 30000 dollars below the asking price and they would not budge. I saw 12 homes and fell in love with 2. The person handling my paperwork walked off the job so they were behind once again. After missing deals and making over one hundred call on my cell phone, I decide to ask for my deposit back. I was having a grandaughter in late August and had to provide larger housing. I told this to the sales person who in turn now tells me it is their lawyers fault because they have grown large and cannot handle the amount of new clients to close much less to return funds just be patient. I reported this to the Better Business Bureau and CIG realty responded with an "anticipated date of October 8th,2012". After Hurricane Sandy, I hestitated calling because i knew it would be another reason why I could not receive my funds. I tried yesterday, only to be told that they were finally back in their offices and things should be back on track to the return of my money. Anyone wanting to deal with this company, take my advice and DON'T. It is not worth the 5000.00 headache I have experienced. This has been 4 months as of yesterday with no relief in sight

  • I am right there with you. Since May, 2012 I have been going back and forth with these incompetents. I called the attorney's office and the individual at CIG who responded to the BBB complaint I filed. Still no budge. This is rediculous. But what occurred to me recently is that the person who got me into this mess is not taking any responsibility at all for my loss. All of these people seem to be latinos and I am wondering what type of scam is this and why is the NY Attorney General allowing them to get away with it? They are apparently not too busy to close deals in New York. I think they are just scamming the people who live outside of New York.

  • GAODNI69, I believe there are a lot of us who can identify with your plight. I could not understand why I had to keep repeating to these people that my family and I were homeless because we went ahead and moved out of the house we were renting in anticipation of the dream house that I had "supposedly" won the bid on closing in 45 days (less than that when I actually moved). It got cold, they didn't care. The days grew into months, they still didnt care. They said they would expedite things each time; however, each time the ball was dropped somewhere in "my dream land". I have contacted NY Attorney General's office, the BBB, the Federal Trade Commission, the Attorney General's office in my state, private attorneys, 4 on my side, and who ever else will listen or claim they are an advocate. The most recent deadline I got was today, wherein I was told they had to have all of the refunds completed before Christmas. Well folks, Christmas is 5 days away...

  • Yeh well this is what they responded to the BBB yesterday regarding my complaint on my $3500..HERE IS THE NEW EXCUSE:

"They said yesterday in their response that someone stole some checks from their office and attempting to cash them, until this matter is resolved, the bank has frozen their accounts, they said that they are trying to resolve as soon as possible".

WOW!!! What's next??? Before Christmas??? That's a good one!! Between all these sites where people are complaining, they owe 100's of thousands of dollars, they not cutting no checks. All they are doing right now is trying to figure out how to get their (Inappropriate Content Removed) together with their scam artist lawyer that works with them so that they can soup up something nice when (Inappropriate Content Removed) hits the fan!! Trust and believe that's why they are now saying someone stole checks from their office and trying to cash them, what else can they do at this point. Just on this site alone they owe over $40,000. I am so happy that I didn't have all my funds avail to send them all at once, which is why they only got $3500, they wanted $10,000.

  • CIG Realty is working diligently to correct some issues that arose from the implementation of our initial business model and miscommunication between former employees and our customers.

Our objective is to satisfy any and all concerns of our customers and continue to move forward with our business.

Unfortunately CIG Realty was the victim of a malicious internet campaign that spread misinformation about the company’s business dealings and intentions. This campaign was implemented by disgruntled former employees. It is the policy of CIG not to discuss specific personnel issues.

CIG is in the process of contacting all its customers to address any concerns and answer any and all questions they may have. In addition CIG has hired a full time employee to handle inquiries.

CIG is dedicated to addressing our client’s concerns including refunding monies and scheduling new closing dates.

CIG is cooperating with the State Attorney’s office to assure customers complaints are being handled in a timely fashion.

Any customers who wish to ask questions or have concerns should immediately contact us at (516) 453-2602 or write us at CIG Realty, 1900 Hempstead Turnpike Suite 310, East Meadow, New York 11554.
