I purchased a trip to the 2011 Essence Festival for myself amd my brother through Harris Travel Agency contact person was Tyra Cobb or that's what she claimed her name was. We were suppose to leave Los Angeles, Ca on 6/30/2011 and return from New Orleans on 7/4/2011. I am so pissed off. Tyra Tobb took me for $1933.00. I had talked to her prior to us suppose to leave for our trip and she just keep saying that she will email all the information but she never email anything. I checked with the airlines and hotels that we were suppose to stay and the airlines and hotel stated that there was never even a reservation made for myself and my brother. If there are any others out there that have been scammed by the Harris Travel Agency (Tyra Cobb) and have any information pertaining to this women's whereabouts lets please get a group together and try to re-coup our money back. Based on information provided here today, it looks like Ms. Cobb is in fact giving people the run-a-round. She made reservations at our hotel and sent our company a check payment that bounced. She stated she would contact us (the following after we contacted her) to rectify the situation, but after a week, no response. In addition, when she was questioned about the invalid check payment, she ignored our emails. When we mailed final notices to her company's addresses (there were 2), the notices were - strangely enough - mailed back to our company. Our company is in the process of filing suit against this individual and her company for fraud. Any information (i.e. actual written proof and documentation) will help in this matter. Please also note: Ms. Cobb had a Facebook page, but - strangely enough again - it was taken down most recently.
