A group of 8 including myself and my husband planned a trip to New Orleans Essence Fest for July1-4, 2011 . We went through a travel agency ran by Tyranette (Tyra) Cobb out of Dallas Texas called Harris Travel Agency license #CLIA 00418003,her website is
www.harris-travelagency.com where she is now advertzing for travel packages for 2012 . She is registered in California to sell travel, her sellers # is 2104512. Well to make a long story short she scammed us! We paid our money in full, $2450 per couple, my husband and I had paid in full in February. When it came to a week before we were to leave and we were requesting our confirmations for air flight and hotel she stopped responding to us. We never got our confirmations and she never sent any of our travel arrangements but she did cash the check we sent, and therefore we never made it to our trip that was paid for in full!

Based on information provided here today, it looks like Ms. Cobb is in fact giving people the run-a-round. She made reservations at our hotel and sent our company a check payment that bounced. She stated she would contact us (the following after we contacted her) to rectify the situation, but after a week, no response. In addition, when she was questioned about the invalid check payment, she ignored our emails. When we mailed final notices to her company's addresses (there were 2), the notices were - strangely enough - mailed back to our company. Our company is in the process of filing suit against this individual and her company for fraud. Any information (i.e. actual written proof and documentation) will help in this matter. Please also note: Ms. Cobb had a Facebook page, but - strangely enough again - it was taken down most recently.
