I wondered if you would be intrested in looking into my case for me.



To: EBay customer support team.

With reference to item Rover P2 14hp 4 light sports saloon Item Number 261105428010 which is advertised on your auction site, this item is a fraud and I personally have been caught up in the fraud.

This item is still advertised on your site even though I have evidence from the Police and Action Fraud that you were made aware of the fraud on the 6th of October and it has still not been removed from sale.

I proceeded to buy the car and paid £3000 on the October and subsequently found out about the fraud, the Cheshire Constabulary (Crime Number 777) and Action fraud are now investigating the issue.

The Police have traced the vehicle from the registration plate on the vehicle from your website and communicated with the owner to establish that it is not for sale and the advert is not genuine.

If the advert had been removed when you were first informed about it on the 6th October I and probably other people would not have been caught up in the fraud.

It is still advertised for sale today the 13th October a week after you were made aware.

There is a lot of information from the public on the Internet about the advert and it appears not only have the Police informed EBay but members of the Public have contacted you about the advert but nothing has been done, while likely others are been caught up in the fraudulent advert.

I have taken legal advice about the issue and am pursuing the matter as I have been informed that you have a case to answer of neglect to customers that the advert has not been removed quickly as you are obligated to do so under the law when you were first made aware.

I urgently await your response to the above matter as soon as possible and will send you full copies of the entre transactions and communications if required.
