I won a 2 night 3 day get away to the Bahamas all for completing a political survey. I am on the DNC list and they somehow managed to call my cell. I was told to write all the info down....Al Fountain the 2nd corporate ID # AQ8514 Company Caribbean Cruise Line, I had 18 months to book it, only $118 per person for the Gov. Port taxes, all inclusive, VIP section, in a magazine for " celebration; the best cruise". ect...... When I told them I thought it sounded too good to be true and not comfortable giving my info over the phone, I was told "let me put you on with my supervisor". Forgot her name as I was on guard & she sounded a lot like the comments on here; young bubbly, overly friendly and not professional. She said she was sending me a e-mail & she was willing to wait while I took a look at it & gave me the website info to look up while waiting for the e-mail. Problem is she gave me a different web site than the original operator. Then when I pulled up the one he told me about and asked if it was the right one and told her the company she said "huh...uhhhh I'm not sure let me look....oh yeah! That's correct". LOL REALLY! You would think you would know the company you worked for or who you were representing. When I asked her to call me back or let me do some re-search on this and call her back she told me that it wasn't possible. It was a 1st come 1st serve basis and they did random calls. "We can't keep your information here it's illegal". As she was on the phone with me she would cut in and out possibly putting me on mute? while I was re-searching and that is when I came across this web site and many more. WOW! I hung right up on her but was called right back????? I thought they couldn't do that? And didn't keep ANY personal info? Anyways I guess it is too good to be true. I knew something was up when they pushed the credit card issue.....how they needed it right away before I lost out on this great deal. Now just worried about all my info being in their hands. They have my 1st & last name along w my cell # and e-mail! Not sure how worried I should be yet or what my next step should be. Thank you all who's posted on here as it helped me and hope it helps others. DON'T FALL FOR IT! IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.....IT USUALLY IS!
