Just like the other persons, I too was approached by two friendly young men, very smooth- claiming they needed " points" to win a Leadership Award in a local college. I wanted no magazines, so they asked if I would please just help them win by buying- then canceling- a subscription and they would get half the points, putting them in the lead. After looking online, I learned this is a scam as I suspected, and was advised by Police to change my checking/ bank account completely. Bank agreed this Company was clearly a scammer, and a FRAUD. The larger value is not the (so called) magazines expence, paid in check form, It the bank account information people are give them. I lost nothing, as I acted fast: as noted by others, it just didn't feel right. Beware!
