Recently I visited walmart.com and purchased and south shore summer breeze bedroom set,white wash. The item description clearly states the bedroom set consists of a 5 drawer chest,a night table, a twin-size bookcase headboard, and a twin-size mate's bed with 3 drawers. Also clearly states that the items will arrive separately, and also states that the "items in this bundle will be sold separately in stores". Meaning that when I purchase this bedroom SET online only is when the items will be sold as a set. Then in that same sentence it clarifies that if I buy this bedroom set in stores is when the items listed in the item description will be sold separately. So this being the first time I ever purchased anything online reading the item description and it being my daughters 4 year old birthday on August 28th of this year I said wow that is great, but problem was I don't have a credit card so I had to ask my sister for her card information so I could buy this online. I placed this order on August 15th so it had time to arrive for her birthday. When I recieved my email confirmation a few day later I see that it says i just ordered the bed box so I call in to walmart.com and spoke to a gentleman and said I order the bedroom set why is it only stating that I am only am recieving one item, the man puts me on hold looks up the information gets back on the phone and tells me mam you are recieving the 4 piece bedroom set it must have been either an error in the email or that i will recieve an additional email when the other items arrive. So then come august 27th and I have my daughters father call in and see if the boxes will fit in his car, in return the store that bedroom set was being shipped to told us their is only one box at their store. Go into detail about the description and my call in to walmart.com and the gentleman clarifying that I was getting the 4 pieces. The employee at the store says well bring in the printed out set you purchased and receipt. I go to the store speak to a supervisor their and explain she then tells me oh I see that you were supposed to be recieving 4 pieces but we cannot help you since it was an online purchase call walmart.com. When I get home i go to the website go to track my orders and when I pull up the page it says south shore summer breeze bedroom set,white wash qty. 1 then underneath that is says south shore summer breeze bed box, white wash qty. 1, so I see that I am recieving the bedroom set and the bed box. I call into to walmart.com they tell me no you read it wrong, you only ordered the bed box I explain I called in previously and the gentleman that day clarified that I was recieving the 4 piece bedroom set. Through out days and hours, and my daughters birthday passing I get run around, verbal abuse from their employees, insinuations, and ignorance. The head guy chuck of walmart.com insinuated I was trying to get furniture for free exact words "we understand that you are trying to get free furniture". talk to a consumer resolution specialist(orlando) states the same response as other supervisors states he will escalate it to the head person who has the final say in this matter and will listen to all the calls. not to mention I am not the only one who read this and called in about this and thought I was getting 4 piece bedroom set like the item description states. They keep saying it is a typographical error. So august 30th while we were out we get a call from a girl from walmart.com of course missed the call. Called back in to find out it was not someone from the head corporation and does not have the final say it is just someone from the same department that we have already been calling for 4 days now. Talked to a gentleman tonight at the beginning of the call he says it is a website error you should have definately reieved those items my daughters father read the description twice to him then he told him to hold and was reading the item description he then states he is not a supervisor but he does want to resolve this problem but the only thing he can do not being a supervisor is to refund my money plus 30 dollars or give me the other pieces for a discounted price. I then get on the phone and tell him I am not saticfied with those options because I was not only thinking I was recieving those items due to the items description but by an employee of walmart.com he tells me to hold on he has to talk to his associate 10 -15 secs. He gets back on the phone within 5 secs and has a totally different attitude and says no it states you have to customize, you read it wrong so on and so on. I explain to him this is not my fault his employee should have told me other wise the day I call before all this happened that I had to purchase items separately and then we go back the the site stating that "items in this bundle may be sold separately in stores" NOT online. That the items will arrive separately. He states he was reading the wrong set but all the other south shore bedroom sets state in the items description that you have to customize your bundle and that it is only one piece, the bedroom set I order does not state that you have to customize the set in the item description. continues with hm says to escalate this and that we are wrong him interupting me and having a totally different attitude then the begining. Then states that he saw this the first time he read it but stated earlier in the conversation that he had been read it 2 times and read it himself at least 2 times himself, so i then ask so you had to get that after reading it more then once I only read it one time and call in and confirmed my prder it could have been fixed that day I called in. then puts words in my mouth says that I told him that I stated that I read the whole site when I ordered and understood my error, I NEVER stated that. So now not only did my daughter not get her big girl bedroom like she asked for but now get treated rudely, get insinuations made at us, get the run around, get lied to and misinformed repeatedly. I want my issue resolved the way it should have been from the beginning and get was I ordered and then later confirmed what I order. I should not have to pay any more money or wait any longer or get treated this way and my daughter should have never had to be let down because walmart.com misinformed me and want to lie.

  • The same thing happened to me and the only difference is I got an email that told me that the bedroom suit did come with 4 pieces.
