I am unhappy with the quality of a wedding gown I bought from an online bridal dress store on 13th may 2012 and I am writing to seek advice on getting a remedy. The gown was delivered on June 12th 2012 and I noticed the problems as soon as I unpacked.
The mermaid style, tightly sculpted, lace gown is one that I have tried on in a local bridal shop. The bridal website provided a picture of the gown that is entirely misleading. They made an extremely poor reproduction of the gown pictured. The gown sent by the bridal website is unwearable, it is of very poor workmanship, there are sections of the gown that do not have any lace attached, simply netting. There are black marks on the gown and there is a fault that runs down the entire front of the gown, where there are significant holes in the lace from the neckline to the floor.
The gown is also of an unsatisfactory fit, the website provided guidelines for how to take measurements. I printed these guidelines and went to a professional dressmaker, who followed the guidelines. I chose custom made as I was under the impression that I would be getting a well fitted gown, which would shape to my body perfectly. The gown sent was clearly not custom made and is at least two sizes too big for me.
I am extremely dissatisfied with the gown. I contacted the bridal store by email as soon as I received the gown. The website specifies in their return policy agreement that if items are faulty and if they are notified within 7 days, they would provide refund. The bridal store are not willing to uphold this return policy agreement as specified on their website. I have kept all correspondence with the bridal store. After attempting to reconcile the problem and having no success, I am seeking Fair Trade assistance, as the service provided by this online store is a scam.
I feel this bridal website have taken advantage of me as an online consumer, which is not acceptable and as I am unable to wear the gown sent by UDreamy Bridal, I would like a full refund from the bridal store.
I am seeking a full refund of the $410.00.
