In 2005, my boyfriend of 15 years had purchased items from Rent-a-Center at which time they offered life insurance to their customers, He purchased this policy and a few days later he unfortunately passed away from medications prescribed by his doctor. Rent-a-Center somehow made their way thru his motel room and retrieved the items he had purchased under contract before I even had a chance to pick up his belongings! I notified the company and turned in the papaer work for his policy and was denied benifits. The death certificate stated his death as accidental but RAC still gave me the run a round...This is not the first time they haven't honored their policy. This is a common sitiuation with insurance thru RAC. They collect premiums but but deny the benifits. How does this work? I cant seem to get anything resolved. How does a company such as RTO get away with this type of fraud?

It’s hard for me to know exactly what happened without seeing the details of your boyfriend’s agreement, but I know that the company would truly be interested in investigating this issue.
