Service Magic promised me $500 because they could not help get my money back from Wolf Contracting who this company referred to me for a fence job on 6/1/12. Wolf Contracting took 2600.00 from me and did no work. I had to go to the Shreveport LA police dept to get my money refunded from Wolf under threat by the police of jail time. Wolf owner had a prior criminal history in 2011 which Service Magic backgound check either did not pic up or was overlooked. I now have Wolf owner Chris Smith with a criminal history mad at me for stoping his scam and going to the police to get my money back. This means I must live in fear for the rest of my life and Service Magic continues to refer Wolf Contracting to other people even though they are well aware of my experience with Wolf. They refuse to give me the $500 or even post my complaint on their website. This seems very unfair and a very poor business practice by Service Magic.

- Good afternoon Mandy, First of all Chris Smith aka Wolf Contracting has two convictions on file. #1 10/31/11 for fraud over $500 Bossier Police Dept #2 forgery of a financial instrument Waskom Police Dept. If you screen & do background checks why didn't you find this info that can be found on line. Also the BBB has an alert on this business which can also be found on line. You have no idea how many people have called me and told me of similar money losses with Wolf Contracting. One in particular your service gave them the 5 star guarantee just like you did me. She had to get her money back from the police just like me. I don't understand how you can still have this company in your service knowing this information. You won't even post my comment to warn potential victims. This is what my complaint must say: Wolf Contracting represented by Chris Smith & Sarah Manshack agreed to build a chain link fence on 6/1/12 and I gave them $2,600.00 down payment. No work was done and Sarah said on 6/14/12 that because I complained about no progress they would not build my fence. It took the police to get my money returned on 8/12/12. I do not recommend using this business! I don't understand why I am being treated like the abuser instead of being treated like the victim. Surely someone there understands my concerns about this company doing this to someone else. I still have to worry about problems from Chris Smith since I seem him drive by my house frequently. Please just post the comment and get rid of them from your site!
