I went to Microsoft help as my camera card would not load into my computer. I ended up with Itechline and they told me they are a subsidiary subcontractor for microsoft. They asked to do a remote takeover and then began telling me I had all kinds of dangerous registeries on my computer. Not viruses as I kept telling them I had both my machines protected. they were very convincing and spent a long time on my computer and then asked if I had a home network(yes) and went to my other computer and did the same. They took my credit card info and then finally worked on my camera card problem. It took them another couple of hours to solve that problem and it turned out to be a conflict with my security program. My machine does run faster but I do not think they should be allowed to claim they are an affiliate of microsoft when they are not. I also doubt both machines had problems. Once they do a remote take over, you are not able to check them out online. So yes, I think this company is at the very least a scam. i only hope the credit card is not misused because of them. Supposedly I have 3 months of help from them but now I am afraid to let them do anything more. The amount they charged was excessive but the scare tactics worked.
