I read about a Channel 4 review of Slimvida and Colonflow as a weight loss aid and thought I would try their free trial. I only had to pay a small fee for postage and packaging which meant I had to submit my debit card details. The product arrived with instructions on the pack as to how to use it and to be honest, after two days I found that I could no longer use the product as it had a very undesirable effect (gas and diarrhea) and this was just the slimvida, not the colonflow, which I was too afraid to use. I thought that I had not really lost out on anything because the money I paid out was just for P&P and was minimal. However, I discovered that Slimvida took £138.98 out of my account the following month and when I called my bank to stop the payment, they told me to contact the company. It turns out that when I ordered the product originally, I clicked the box where it says "I agree to the terms and conditions." Of course, I didn't read the terms and conditions which was very silly of me given that I am a law graduate and should really know better. Anyway, realising that I could do nothing about it I called the company and cancelled my order with no problems at all. The person I spoke to on the phone was lovely and told me as a thank-you for buying the product she was going to send me out a voucher for a free manicure and pedicure, a free hairstyle and a voucher book giving me discount of various experiences to which I replied, "as long as it doesn't involve money coming out of my bank account." She told me at that point that they would require a small postage charge of around £2 and I declined her kind offer, thinking that they would probably take more money out of my bank account the following month. I must say, its a hard lesson learned. My advice to others who have fallen for this perfectly legitimate scam that relies on people not reading the terms and conditions of the 'offer' is to ALWAYS READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS!

  • I have had exactly the same experience with this company.
First the company hung up on me and then they made it difficult to get my refund of shipping, going via the insureship.com website. All seemed a bit seedy and hazy and after the ordeal with Slimvida, I couldn't face clicking any more boxes with sites associated with this product.
The next thing I know is that the company called Home Health Club or something had taken £2.99 from my account after expressly saying NO NO NO please don't take another penny from me, and I definately don't want anything from this other company. Seems they didn't take any notice of that and proceeded to forward my details anyway. The pill bottle that I sent back ended up costing me £5.90 as the company insist on you sending it to them recorded and trackable. I would sincerly advise anyone to not use this company! Good luck to all those that are trying to claim money back and stop payments from being taken from you.
