I had been signing up for mystery shopper jobs and received a letter in the mail with a check for $986.00 I was to go to a Western Union location and make a transaction for a Sheila Mccoy in London, England for $750.00 and use the rest at some local stores (KMart, JCPenney). I was so desperate for some money and I will be the first to admit that I am a complete moron and fell for it. I just wanted a job and of course I ended up nearly $1000 in the hole because of this. I had been speaking by phone to a "Janice Hoskins" at the fake company "Shopping Detective Inc". I have not heard from her since, but the phone number to reach her still works (I've been checking, just out of curiosity)
