I was called today by a guy with an Indian accent who, despite my cynicism claimed my computer was infected with a Trojan virus which if unchecked would lead to the hacking of my security details, as always I said I would get it checked out by my technical support and that although he said they were recommended by Microsoft, I would never accept any support through what was basically a cold call. Glad I did, judging from the responses on this site! Don't be intimidated - go to your regular support.
