On April 16,2011 Sheryl Rockwell and myself Keith Gadd went to a work shop in Edmonton, Alberta put on by Stores On Line. We were told that we could make money on line and they would help us set up our own web site and all we had to do was figure out what we wanted to advertize and sell. Their concept sounded so good we spent the $6300.00 on their Platnium package and thought we had it made. When I tried to log into Stores On Line when I got home, I could not get into our so called setup site. It was on this note that I did a search for storesonline and read about all the people that had been scammed going back to 2007. Sheryl phoned her credit card company to have the transaction stopped, but it was after the 3 day grace that Stores On Line gives in the contract so after an investigation by the credit card company, their dicision was to allow it due to her signiture on the contract, which I think is full of holes.
At this time we are at a loss of what to do. Do we take the loss or do we try to fight this nationwide scam. We are looking at legal council, but that again cost $ we don't have as this scam cost us most of our savings.. Niether Sheryl or my self can not afford this as Sheryl is on a small disability pention and at this time I am unemployed. My big question is How are companies like this allowed to operate in Canada or the US? There have been many class action law suites entered into the courts in the US against Stores On Line of which they have lost and have had to pay out thousands of $ in penalties and have also been banded from operating in some US States and they are still scamming the masses. Why is this allowed by our governments? My recommendation to any one in any country if you hear the words Stores On Line - RUN LIKE HELL!!!!!!!!!
