rented rv from cruise america rv contract literally 50 pages. i did what i shouldve have and didn't read the novel like i should've. i told the guy i would be driving back east (nevada to ny) he failed to tell me that you can only drive 50 miles a day without being charged around 50 cents a mile over the alloted 50. i gave a 1,000 dollar deposit and they said they needed a credit card or atm # in case i damaged the rv etc. flash forward a few days and they are calling me telling me they are going to report the vehicle stolen if i didnt give them more money and then they tried withdrawing funds from my bank account. so i was going to ditch the thing and they told me would be a 1,000 dollar drop fee. i asked a customer service rep. still unaware of the additonal mileage fee if it would be better off just drive it back,or should i dump it and of course she said drive it back, me being young and dumb i did.it cost me in total 4,000 dollars. the icing on the cake was, i was out east in the winter and the heater broke. they took my 1,000 deposit even though i returned the thing just as i got it and said i broke the heater!! and i owe them 3,000 in additional mileage plus the 1,000. would've been nice if the guy i rented from would have said something about the mileage when i told him i was taking a long distance trip but they scammed me instead. now me credit is ruined thanks cruise america rv!!!!!!!!dont rent you will be sorry!!!!!!!!!
