I am looking for Many Others I am Confident have been ripped off by Ed Forrester too! Please contact me with the details of what happened to you, so we can take this to the DA and file charges against Ed Forrester to strop this criminal abuse of so many by Ed Forrester.
In April of 2009, I was in need of moving from the home I was renting, to another location, and was going through the rentals, when I found Ed Forrsters ad about Leasing to Own and Help Fixing your Credit, so you could qaulify to buy the home.
I called right away, as it seemd this might be the chance I longed for, to move on to buying a home, I was unable to before, due to a bad divorce and bad credit as a result of it. I called to meet Ed Forrester, and from the second I saw him, I had a very bad feeling, as he looked like a devious guy. I ignored this immediately, because I did not want to ruin my chances of making things better for myself, and ultimately fixing my credit and buying a house.
Ed said there would be a down-payment of $8,000.00 to lease to own the home and Promised to help me fix my credit so I could qualify to own the home. I was stunned by the huge down-payment, but I couldn't pass this up, it was To Good to be TRUE!
We went over to see the house, large yard, pool, but that was about the extent of the nice things about it. We went inside and there was no flooring at all, just concrete, in every room, a terrible smell of dead rats the second you walked in the front door, no window coverings, many things broken and in shambles, and a lot of work had to be done just to make it livable. I needed this to move in immediately, so I was worried about how I would do that with the terrible shape it was in and not in livable condition. I told Ed Forrester that if I did the work in installing the flooring throughout, and al the other repairs that needed to be made, that I would need it to be credited off the house cost to me, in the end when I bought it, which he agreed upon.
We signed the Lease to Own Agreement and I gave him the $8,000.00 as a down-payment to Lease to Own the home, and he gave me keys to the house in shambles, with no flooring, just concrete and horrible rat smell!
Ed Forrester was constantly sending me emails about paying the lease payment early, due to his having some closing costs for other hosues or some other excuse, and very many times I paid early, and other times I was always on time with my lease to own payments, never late once!
I asked and asked for over 2 years, for Ed Forrester to keep his Promise to me and help fix my credit, but he always made excuses why he couldn't do it right now, but we would do it later for sure...which later never came!
After 2 1/2 years, in Nov 2011, I received a knock on my door, by someone I did not know. I asked who they were and they said they were there because the house was in foreclosure. I was shocked, that I had always paid my lease to own payments to Ed Forrester on time, so how could the house be in foreclosure?
I found out that Ed Forrester had stopped paying the mortgage payments to the bank, 8 months earlier, so he was being foreclosed on by the bank, for non-payment of the mortgage!
I contacted Ed Forrester, and he stated that was a mistake and not to worry about it, that he would get it all corrected.
Days went by and I contacted hiom again, when the next months Lease to Own payment was due, and I told him that I was not paying if he was not paying the mortgage! Ed Forretser threatened me that if I did not pay, he was going to eveict me. WOW!
I couldn't believe what was happeneing.
Ed told me he would prove to me that the mortgage was up to date, and sent me a bank statement of his account, with a balance on the statement that was enough to cover the arrearage of the mortgage back payments, and also sent me a bank wire transfer statement saying he funds were transferred to the mortgage company from his account, so the house was up to date, so I would pay the Lease to Own payment, which I did.
Then I was contacted by the previous owner, who Ed Forrester made an arrangement to sell his house for him, because he was getting foreclosed upon, and Ed Promised to save him from foreclosure. As I find out now, the previous owner still owns the note on the house, and Ed Forrester promised he would sell the house for him to save his credit.
The previous own said the loan was still not paid for over 8 months, and the email Ed Forrester sent me of the bank statement and wire transfer were not true, and then he verified it with the bank that the mortgage was NOT paid up to date, but the statements of proof that Ed Forrester had sent me, were fraudulent, made up, so he could get me to pay him the lease to own payment anyway.
During the 2 1/2 years I was in the home, I fixed up everything that was in shambles, which was considerable, installed flooring in every room at my cost, built in 2 jacuzzis in the ground in the back yard, by the pool, on and on and on, to the tune of over $50,000.00.
I sent Ed Forrester an email after finding out he had NOT really wired the mortgage payment arrearage to the bank, but that he sent me fraudulent documents, made up to look as though he had wired the bank the money, and told him I wanted my Down-Paymewnt back asap, and that I was going to sue him for the rest of the repairs and upgrades to the property I was promised I was paying monthly on to go towards my owning the home.
The house going into foreclosure I was threatened with being thrown out by the bank, and my sick Mother was going to be moving here for me to help as she now needed assistance. Ed Forrester knew my Mother was ailing and was moving here in a couple months, and just ignored my attempts to get some kind of explanation out of him, and what was I going to do now, having to move without any notice.
Ed Forrester just ignored my emails, like he could care less about me or my Mother.
I moved and Ed Forrester has never paid me on dime for what he ripped me off for, in the down-payment or the additions and repairs I did to the home!
Please contact me if Ed Forrester has ripped you off or scammed you out of your home or money! We need to put a stop to this criminal activity and abuse of so many!
The DA(District Attorney) has already started a file on Ed Forrester, but needs more real complaints of his ripping others off, before they can prosecute and send him away where he belongs....in Prison!
There are at least 2 other people I personally know of that were also ripped off by Ed Forrester, one couple that lived in his condo on about (Personal Info Removed), Please contact me, and another in North County!
