Contracted MOVERS,INC based on a $350 quote for 3 men and a truck to move from a 2 bedroom townhouse based on a 5 hour estimate. They were totally unprepared with no dolleys, no mover straps, truck had no hydraulic lift or license plates, and wardrobe boxes were not brought complete. Truck was too small and men had to load truck to roof of truck and could not complete the move in one trip.
Lead man presented me with list of extras and a form stating move was an emergency move even though the move was scheduled on and acknowledged on Dec. 26 2011.
The truck could not fit all of our furniture.
At 6 pm they presented me a bill for $4,800 and would not unload the truck unless they received cash or a certified check. An appeal to their manager, Kyle, resulted in no change to "their Policy".
They came back the following day to complete the move which now exceeded 16 hours.
They assembled nothing and moved only part of our items into the house.
Damages besides the overcharge is estimated at $3,618
