Asking about consumer fraud: I live in Indiana but the company is
in both Mesa, AZ and Phoenix, AZ - can you help? In July-August 2011, I invested $499 to get 6 websites, and $8,000 to "advertise" so that people would log in to my websites and make purchases.
This company (Higher Impact) hasn't done anything they promised. I contacted my Visa card - they called it a dispute and initially credited me back for the two purchases - then after the fraudulent company replied to my charges (LIED) Visa let the fraudulent company get that amount back.
I want to know if Scambook.com can help me to get the $8,500 back, or do I need to get an attorney? There are a lot of examples of this fraud, over and over again, on the internet. At one time, I contacted Visa and asked to cancel my purchase. The representative asked me if I had contacted the vendor. I said no, but did eventually call them. They talked me out of it saying I would be making money in August.
Then I sent a lot of back up to Visa, listing all names of the people I had talked with at the company, copies of an internet site showing a long list of people complaining about FRAUD in dealing with Higher Impact. The Visa card company then contacted the company and accepted what they had to say - in other words, their word against mine. When I complained about how Visa handled it, not giving me a chance to reply, the Visa credit card representative said her company was not a bank and that I should get a consumer advocate - very sarcastic & short. Of course it was not HER MONEY.
This is, of course, a short version of the problem. I want to get my money back, and also want to put them out of business.
