My PC came up with a message it was unable to log me onto MS Office products then a message my internet security was not working. The link appeared to be to get protection via the MS Security Centre (strange as I already had MS Essentials up an running with no problems).
As I could not get onto my Office programmes it seemed reasonable to assume there was a problem - how dumb am I?
So I signed up to what seemed a legimate MS upgrade and received an ID key etc.
Now I get the 'at risk' shield on start-up but the update function is not there.
My MS Essentials is however running.
I doubt my credit card provider will refund my outlay but I will definitely try and tell them to watch out for this too.
