im looking for a job and i came accross a job posting and in response i got this

Our Human Resource manager would like to schedule an interview with you before she leaves for vacation early next week. It led to an official-looking form to fill out. After I submitted the form, a screen came up claiming that due to the Patriot Act they would need to run a credit check to verify applicants' identity-not to actually check their credit score, just to verify identity, and that this could not be done any other way. They provided a link, which went to one of those credit score companies that will sign you up for a free trial and then charge you monthly. It also had a bad reputation on Web of Trust. This is just wrong-if a company wants to do a credit check on an applicant they can do so without making the applicant sign up for a service. I declined to sign up for it.
