Renta Center advertising 90 days same as cash. I brought a dinette set that said the cash price is 649.68 on the contract that I signed. When I went to the store the store to buy it out after 2 months I was charged sales tax on the amount of the price of the set based on if i had rented it for the full term which came to 1380.56. Ripping me off for 52.99. I think that is very unfair and deceptive. I will never by anything else from them again and will tell my family and friends about this deception. I have all my reciepts. The sales tax in MA is 6.25% based on that my total should have been $690.29 but they charged me double the amount of sales tax that they pocketed. They charged me over $700 for the set that the contract says $649.68 cash price of the property. I hope something is done about this ripoff. If they want to make a profit then they should list the cost of the price at a higher price and not charge double sales tax. That way there will be no question.
