My husband and I purchased a timeshare from Colonial Crossings in 2005. They sold us the timeshare based on these promised amenities: an underground waterpark, horseback riding facilities, fishing facilities, and spa facilities, etc. It is now 2012 and none of these facilities have been built. We have recently found out that they don't even have permits to build these facilities. We are very disappointed and would like to legally get out of this contract as well as recover some of the money we have put into this situation. It doesn't seem right for them to be able to get away with this false advertising.

- My husband and I purchased in 2008...same sales pitch....waterpark....never happened. There are NO amenities on site...when you go to stay for you week, you get a pass to the local YMCA!!! We talked to them in person...they claim that the recession hit them hard..couldn't do any more construction. I find it intersting that from I have read, they never even had water rights or a building permit for the proposed waterpark....they won't even discuss that waterpark anymore..but also say they fired all of those sales people...what a crock! There is a class action suite being filed...I'll get the details and post for others to see..checking into it this week. Also, they will tell you that since the waterpark isn't mentioned in your contract, this isn't breach of contract. But it sure was misleading information that caused us all to purchase...we were ALL told about the waterpark!!
