My wife had contacted Wholesale about purchasing tickets for her and our three daughters to the Philippines to see her ailing dad. Once she purchased the tickets she realized the eticket number given to her was assighned to her when she called the airline. She did realized that the way the connecting flights were scheduled that she would not have enough time to go the immigration process in New York before heading to Hong Kong. She informed several Wholesale officials in many emails and telephone calls(when they felt like returning her calls or emails) that she needed this matter taken care of ASAP because she had received word that her dad was on his deathbed. Finally, after realing that she was not getting the help she needed and that she could not get her ticket changed in time before her dad's death, my wife cancelled the tickets and rebooked with another company. She was told by Wholesale that their travel agency, Travel Guard, would refund her money as long as she got a letter from her dad's doctor that he was sick and on his deathbed. My father-in-laws doctor faxed a letter to wholesale stating that he was indeed sick and on his deathbed but despite my wife sending the proper documentation as requested, thye fax from the doctor and the insurance form to Travel Guard, she was never refunded her money. The BBBhad stated that there waqs not that they could do because Wholesale was not a BBB member. Eventually, officials at wholesale became nasty and would hang up on my wife and myself and then they would not return our calls at all.
