April 3,2011 I Went to a presentation for a Carnival complimentary 8 Day/7-Night Cruise for 2, leaving from any major port in the U.S., including Los Angeles, CA. endured the presentation and signed for the $8,000.00 Worldwide Travel Services. After receiving the "complimentary" certificate found out I had to send an additional $99 per person within 30 days to Ultimate Executive Travel, Philadelphia, Pa. to register my complimentary certificate. No acknowledgement of receiving it, reply, I called they forgot to include the Last page that confirmed my reservation. After that I was put on a waiting list to receive my reservations but received a letter of Terms and Conditions that in #2 "Receipients are required to pay applicable port charges, taxes and service fees(approzimately $399 per person, based upon double occupancy) Prices can vary depending on the cruise itinerary. Surcharges apply for all sailings. A reservation processing fee of $49.00 per person is also required with your confirmed booking. This offer is for promotional use only and is non-transferable, cannot be sold to th end user and cannot be redeemed for cash. ! had to book it 90 day before the cruise. I called often to try and get the cruises that left before summer ended. No luck. I am still waiting for information on the departures and destinations. The total for this "complimentary" cruise is about $1200. I finally talked to someone that told me they would look into my certificate and to this date I have called and got no answer or return call after leaving a message to contact me. Tomorrow I am going to Worldwide Travel in Valencia to find out what is happening with this SCAM!!!!! Can anyone tell me how Carnival Cruise Line is involved in this scam. I have received 4 more postcards with the "Fun Ship" logo with the same offer. It is less expensive just to book directly on Carnival and skip the Travel agency SCAMS
