Like all the other complaints it is a scam. I received an offer from World Wide travel, if I watch the presentation then I was eligible for a complimentary 8 day 7 night cruise.
I mailed in the voucher to UET, paid a deposit of 99.00 per person, 50.00 processing fee, 49.00 per person reservation booking fee and a 285.00 per person port fee and tax.I also bought the insurance for 99.00 and was told I can cancel or reschedule.
I was given a cruise date for 10/22/12, 5 days, with Carnival cruise line. I was not able to cruise at that time, so I requested to cancel. I filed the insurance claim and was told by Berkely Travel that I would either receive a refund or travel credit. In the meantime I called carnival to follow up. I spoke with Carnival cruise line on several occasions. I was told money was refunded back to someone named Charkes McGuire to a VISA card (I paid with an American Express card)I went back to UET and they told me different information. Everytime I called UET I spoke with someone different. Each time I asked for the previous person I was told they no longer work with the company. I was once told that a supervisor Eugene would call me.My last conversation with Carnival was with Guest Administration, they said I have a travel vouvher good for 225.00. When I told UET that they told me I only have a travel credit for 150.00. The whole thing is confusing and now I have lost 768.00.
I am in the process of filing a lawsuit or some sort of complaint against the company to get my money back.
